Thanksgiving 2005
A bit late, but here are some photos from Thanksgiving dinner. This year we hosted the Deakins Ft Collins dinner which included Shelley and I, my dad, and Mike, Jennifer, and Taylor (and, of course, Tex and Jen and Mike’s dog Harley). The holiday began early with Jen and Shelley walking the annual 4-mile Thanksgiving Day race and Dave running it with one of his co-workers. Then everyone went off to start preparing food (which for Dave meant tying to remember how to cook a 26-lbs. turkey). Tex and Harley played in the back yard and everyone else ate lots of food and then watched the Broncos game. (and then Dave and Shelley ate turkey leftovers for about a week… =) )

So, who cooked this year’s Thanksgiving dinner?

It was a joint effort! I cooked the turkey and stuffing and gravy. Shelley cooked some casseroles and some peanut butter/chocolate dessert bars. Jennifer made mashed potatoes and rolls and two cakes.
