Parenting Practice

In order to better prepare for our upcoming arrival in March, Jeff and Becca Hill graciously loaned us their daugher, Lael, this past Friday night. Things went pretty smoothly except for the time that Dave let her fall out of the side of the chair at the Chinese restaurant. Lael loved leaping off the step from our front entry to our living room and Dave reaffirmed his theory that little children remember lessons about their world better when they are accompanied by things like pain.
Lael Hill Riding Tex

Lael was a big fan of Tex, too. He did his best to help out, but as you can see he was not always amused…

  1. It reminds me of similar stories by Jason. (Jumping off a table, not knowing fear, etc.) I love Tex’s picture… He seems to be saying, “Dave…. I know I am supposed to be a good servant and all, but….. isn’t 10 minutes of this enough for today?”

It’s going to be a lot of fun when D&S Jr. arrives….. :)
