Zosia’s 1st Birthday
Before going up to Saratoga on the 4th, we went over to celebrate the birthday of our friends Mike and Gretchen’s daughter. Zosia had a great backyard BBQ bash, complete with sandboxes and slides and balls to play with and Sunflour Bakery cupcakes for dessert.

A Saratoga Fourth
For the 4th of July weekend, our family packed up and headed to visit Pop and Loly Deakins in Saratoga, Wyoming. Andrew and Dave had a great time setting off fireworks Friday evening and we all had lots of fun around the house and around town on Saturday and Sunday as well. Andrew loved showing Pop and Loly how he could work his puzzles and enjoyed teaching them about Thomas the Tank Engine. He was very excited to visit the old caboose car at the Saratoga museum and to play in the park near their house. He was also impressed by all the big and little trout at the fish hatchery north of town.

5th Anniversary
At the end of June, Shelley and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary by spending a day and a half in Estes Park and staying at the Stanley Hotel. Baby Kyle tagged along and we had a fun time eating good food and Blue Bell ice cream in town and hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park.
