 |
Baby Kyle is born!
Kyle David Deakins was born today (May 6) at 8:26pm. He was 7 lbs 13 oz and 21 inches. Everybody is healthy and doing well.
Visitors are welcome any time tomorrow (Wednesday). We are room 3690 at PVH.
Horsetooth Half Marathon
In mid-April, Dave and Mark Smith ran their first half marathon, the Horsetooth Half. The course runs up over the Horsetooth Reservoir dams on the west side of Fort Collins and has quite a bit a steep hill climbing during the first 8 miles. After coming up with the idea in early January, they had been tirelessly training for several months. Race day was a beautiful warm day and Dave and Mark both pounded out the long 13.1 miles and successfully crossed the finish line. Shelley and Andrew and Alissa, Alex, and Tanner came to cheer on the racers (actually they all went out to breakfast while Dave and Mark were running, and then came back to cheer for them at the 10 mile mark).
