Respite Care Ball
In mid-November we were once again able to attend the charity ball for Respite Care, the organization for developmentally disabled kids that Shelley worked out while she was at CSU. This year we had a table filled with our friends including Mark and Alissa who came for the second year and also Jenn and John, Mike and Gretchen, and Ryan and Melissa. There was much good food, fancy ambiance, and dancing for all.
Halloween
Halloween is an exciting time for Andrew. This year he was a puppy dog and he got to go all around town showing off his costume. In the morning, he visited the Tiny Tots parade in Old Town along with many of his friends like Zosia, Lincoln, Ransom, and Lewis. After naptime, he came to Dave’s work and passed out candy to all the co-workers that he could find (and if they stayed long enough, some people even got 3 or 4 pieces of candy). In the evening, he visited with his friend Camryn across the street and with his cousins Jayson, Taylor, and Jocelyn. The highlight of his day though was giving out candy to all the kids that came to the door. He would watch eagerly out the window for them to come, often with a piece of candy in each hand ready to go. Once they knocked on the door, he would methodically place 2 pieces of candy into each person’s bag. Sometimes it was hard to be patient waiting for more kids, so in the slow times he would give dog treats to Tex and Chloe who were also dutifully wearing their Halloween costumes.
