4th of July in Houston
Over the 4th of July holidays, Dave, Shelley, and Andrew and Dave’s sister Jennifer and nephew Jayson went down to visit (Dave’s brother) Derrick and Melanie’s family in Houston, Texas. Andrew got to meet his cousins Jack, Charlie, and Stephen (who is two months older than him). There was much fun and sillyness and eating of good Texas food. On Monday Derrick and Dave took Jack and Jayson to see the Astros play the Cubs at Minute Maid Park. And on the 4th, in the tradition of childhood 4th of Julys, Dave and Derrick purchased lots of fireworks and had a fireworks display in front of the house (despite the pouring rain).

Third Anniversary
June 28th marked three years since Dave and Shelley got married. To celebrate they had dinner at Nico’s Catacombs, the restaurant where Dave proposed to Shelley in May of 2002.

Father’s Day 2006
Dave celebrated his first Father’s Day in June. Andrew and Shelley had decorated the house with special signs during the night. The family also went to watch Dave play soccer and barbequed with Dave’s dad and Tharon.
