New Baby Andrew
Little Andrew Jonathan Deakins was born at 2:53am this morning here in Fort Collins. He weighted 7 lbs. 9 oz. and was 20.5 inches long. Everything went smoothly during labor and Andrew and Shelley are both doing great (although a bit tired)! We will post some photos soon… Maybe after sleeping a bit…

Everything is moving along at the hospital. They started Shelley on Pitocin at about 2 pm and the contractions really got going around 4:30 – 5. She was a trooper and gutted it out with no pain meds until she was 5 cm dialated and the doctor thought we were in good shape. At 8pm, they set her up with an epidural and she has been able to rest quite a bit more since then. We are expecting the baby to come probably sometime early in the morning.

Well, they decided to induce Shelley’s labor this morning. We are at the hospital and will keep everyone posted.
