Shelley’s Baby Shower
This past weekend a baby shower was held for our upcoming new arrival. There was lots of good food, fun activities (baby jeopardy, a race to drink from a bottle, decorating onesies, etc.), and time to socialize with friends. People were very generous to us in all the gifts that we received for our soon-to-arrive baby boy. Thanks to everyone who came and especially the women that spent a lot of time planning it!
Chloe and Tex
Around New Year’s, some of our neighbors down the street had to go out of town and needed a place for their 14 week old yellow lab puppy named Chloe to stay. Shelley was thrilled to have a new puppy for several days and Tex and Chloe played and played during the whole time. Since Tex had the size advantage, Chloe learned to hold her own by doing things like climbing up onto the couch and leaping onto Tex’s head for a sneak attack.
Christmas Dinner 2005
For Christmas Dinner everybody come over to visit our house and enjoy a wonderful meal of Honey Baked ham, baked potatoes, and casseroles. My job was to help with the rolls (I learned that rools have to be kneaded, have to rest, and have to rise before you bake them).
(I’m not sure why everyone looks some much happier in the picture Margaret took compared to the picture that I took…)

Christmas 2005
Well this is now about a month after the fact, but here are some fun pictures of all of us from Christmas day. This year we had the chance to have Shelley’s parents, Frank and Margaret, and her brother, Brad, come out from Florida to visit us in Colorado. We also spent time my dad and with Jennifer and Mike and Taylor on Christmas morning. As you can see from the pictures, there was lots of fun gifts, even for the dogs (Tex got several presents and Jennifer and Mike’s dogs, Harley and Keila, got treats and tennis balls, too).
