Shelley has Graduated!
Shelley has completed her Master of Arts in Special Education, Severe Cognitive Needs! She finished her last day of student teaching yesterday and then last night had her commencement at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Many years of hard work have come to completion!
First Snow
About 5 days ago, we finally got our first real snow for the winter here in Fort Collins. It was strange for it to get all the way into December without a snowstorm, but the weather has been making up for lost time this week. It snowed again on Tuesday and the temperatures yesterday were below zero for most of the day. Below are some pictures of Tex playing in the snow.
Thanksgiving 2005
A bit late, but here are some photos from Thanksgiving dinner. This year we hosted the Deakins Ft Collins dinner which included Shelley and I, my dad, and Mike, Jennifer, and Taylor (and, of course, Tex and Jen and Mike’s dog Harley). The holiday began early with Jen and Shelley walking the annual 4-mile Thanksgiving Day race and Dave running it with one of his co-workers. Then everyone went off to start preparing food (which for Dave meant tying to remember how to cook a 26-lbs. turkey). Tex and Harley played in the back yard and everyone else ate lots of food and then watched the Broncos game. (and then Dave and Shelley ate turkey leftovers for about a week… =) )
Baby Registry
Today Shelley started registering for the baby at Toys R Us / Babies R Us. Here is a link to the registry so far. Next weekend, I get to help pick out some of the exciting practical things like car seats and toys!
